About us

Half Past Fur is a small range of cat beds. Four of them, collected under the name The Hours. Each bed is named for the hour a cat is most likely to claim it: the morning sun-stretch, the late-morning watch, the afternoon nap, the evening hide.

It started the way these things tend to. Two cats, Udon and Miso, and a slow realisation that most cat beds are made to be tolerated in a room rather than to belong in one. So we put together the range we'd been looking for and couldn't find: beds a cat will actually use, and that you won't want to hide when someone comes over.

Why the range is small

We could have listed forty beds. We didn't want to. There are only so many ways a cat likes to sleep: stretched flat, curled tight, propped against a wall, or tucked somewhere dark. The Hours covers those four. Each one is plush, washable, and built to keep its shape well past the first month. If we add to the range later, it will be because a bed earns its place, not to fill a page.

Who we are

A small team in Australia, with cats and fairly firm opinions about where they sleep. Half Past Fur is the brand we went looking for and couldn't find, so we built it. Designed for your living room, not just the cat's corner.
